About cftonline (Centre for Training)
About USI (Unique Student Identifier)
USI is an Australian Government requirement for all students enrolled in nationally recognised training throughout Australia (such as our training) since 2015.
The main purpose of the USI is for you to have easy access to your training records. You can apply for your USI online, anytime. Creating your USI is actually very quick and easy to do. There is no cost for your USI.
To create your USI online go to www.usi.gov.au
You’ll need:
Valid ID (eg. driver licence)
a strong password (9 or 12 characters - info on USI website)
two security questions (you choose from list on USI website)
It only takes a few minutes to do. Be a bit careful, though – you’ll get ‘locked out’ after 3 failed attempts.
Please choose 'email option' - your USI will be issued by email immediately. The mail option takes 7-14 days.
It is preferable that you forward the email that you receive from USI to us. Otherwise, please copy and paste the USI number to ensure that the USI number you give is correct.
Please provide your USI. We are required by the Government to verify your USI prior to issuing your qualification.
